“The Ukrainian Peace Fund launched by the Romanian United Fund and the Embassy of Romania to the United States has successfully raised over $100,000 since launching 72 hours ago. The target amount has now been increased to $200,000 and may soon be raised to $500,000.
The humanitarian relief fund is being raised for the benefit of refugees from Ukraine arriving in Romania. The funds will be used to purchase food, clothing, medicine, and hygiene items, and to provide shelter, heating, and necessary equipment, as well as psychological, educational, and asylum support to Ukrainian refugees.
100% of the funds will be transparently granted to up to three non-profit organizations in Romania that are actively engaged in the crisis area and have shown a significant long-term commitment to the relief efforts. We are working closely with these organizations on the ground to identify medium and long-term needs and allocate these funds in the best way possible.
