Mihaela Marin in Romanian At Heart exhibit at Artomatic, Washington, DC

Michelle Marin's artwork fills me with joy and an undeniable connection to my inner child.

Each piece she creates is like a gentle nudge, urging me to embrace playfulness while basking in moments of tranquility.

The themes, colors, and shapes woven into her work constantly remind me to infuse my life with a childlike curiosity and spontaneity, even amidst the serenity of stillness.

I have been attracted to art for as long as I can remember, drawing, crafting, painting cards and T-shirts, and even getting into tailoring during my last years of high school and college. A canvas and oil paints bought more than 15 years ago were an attempt to decompress from the day's stress and transform my imagination into reality.

I realized I was hungry to make art and feed my imagination through painting tutorials, discovering artists and their work, teaching myself the harmony of color, and experimenting with new media.

Working with acrylics, mixed media, inks in various styles, and modeling in clay has brought me immense joy and a sense of accomplishment.

As I slide from one media to another, from one style to another, I tend to gravitate toward figurative art and the sensibility of human expression, which can be viewed as part of this exhibit.
